Ondo State Chapter of the Trade Union Congress (TUC) has commended Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa on the appointment of Com (Engr) Razaq Obe as the Director-General of the Projects Performance and Implementation Monitoring Unit (PPIMU).
It could be recalled that, the governor recently announced appointment of 35 new appointeees -Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, Director General and members of Law Commission.
In a press statement signed by the TUC State Chairman, Comrade Clement Fatuase and made available to the PATH, he extended the union heartfelt congratulations to Engr obe who he described appointment as a round peg in a round hole.
He added that, having served as former commissioner in the Ministry of Energy and Power with track record of achievements, Fatuase is optimistic that he will function well and deliver in his new position.
The Chairman said his new appointment will further assist the governor in delivering dividend of good governance to the people of Ondo State.
He charged the DG to deploy his wealth of experience in Engineering in implementing the governor’s OUR EASE Agenda.
” We at the TUC can only urge Engr Razaq Obe not to disappoint the confidence Mr Governor repose in him while discharging his duties. Out of the hundreds qualified eminent citizens of the state, you were chosen to serve the state “.
He asked him to uphold the values of transparency and accountability in this sensitive position given to him by the governor.
TUC Chairman wished him success in his new responsibilities, hopeful he would contribute positively to the progress of Ondo State.
