NULGE President Commissions Akure North LG Union’s House, Lauds Comrade Sanmi Alade Giant Strides

The President of the National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) in Ondo State, Comrade Fredrick Akinrinlola has lauded the giant strides recorded under the branch chairman of the union in Akure North Local Government, describing Comrade Sanmi Alade as one of the best NULGE chairmen in Ondo State.

Com Akinrinlola stated while speaking at the commissioning of the NULGE HOUSE in Akure North. He described the project as historic in the annah of the union at the local government council level saying Comrade Alade has written his name in gold with the legacy project.

He added that the Akure North outgone Chairman has made a statement with the project and other achievements recorded, noting that, the incoming branch executive must brace up because the shoes left behind by Comrade Alade is big, noting that it takes a man of great vision and mission to surpass such track record.

The President hinted that, Comrade Alade is being sworn in as the State Welfare Officer based on his outstanding contributions and achievements in different positions he has served the union in the past.

He tasked the incoming executive of the union to build and consolidate on what the outgone Chairman has done, noting that, with cooperation of the executive and staff of the local government, they stand a chance of surpassing the achievements of past leaders in the local government.

In his goodwill message, Mrs Adufe, Chairman Conference of HOLGA congratulated the outgoing Exco of the local government for a job well done in the last four years, noting that, leadership is all about service to humanity.

On his part, Comrade Sanmi Alade returned all praises and glory to Almighty God for a successful tenure, attributing the successes recorded under his leadership to cooperation and support from both the Executives and Staff of the Council.

He also appreciated the president and SAC members of NULGE for their support and cooperation while serving as the branch chairman of the Akure North LG.

His words: I give God all the glory and adoration for a successful tenure as the branch chairman of NULGE in Akure North.Whatever we achieved in office was as a result of the support and trust you have in me”.

Comrade Alade highlighted some of his achievements which include procurement of a Coaster Bus for NULGE Staff, Repair of grounded 18 Seater Bus ( Procurement of a New Chasis Engine), Annual Celebration for Staff and presentation of gift to retirees, procurement of Mower and working tools for local government non skilled workers, continuous maintenance of NULGE Coaster Bus.

Also , Comrade Alade led administration reconstructed and completed NULGE HOUSE which was commissioned by the State President, procurement of furniture into the building, production of over 500 ID cards, resolvement and closure of protacted First Bank Loan, yearly distribution of over 600 Amper form to staff, purchase of Drum Set for choir and purchase of Pulpit and Tambourine for monthly prayer meeting.

Construction and erection of Burglary to the Canteen/Staff Clinic, Sales of foodstuffs to Staff during festive period, restore and disbursement of Free interest Loan to staff monthly basis (over 50 staff have benefited), periodical medical check for Staff, introduction of free shuttle bus to staff on Wednesdays and Thursdays, .

Free shuttle of Staff to designated venue during promotion exercise and entertainment, periodical hosting of the four zones and leaders in Akure North, purchase of Waste Baskets to local government Secretariat, timely release of financial assistance to Staff among others laudable feats.

Comrade Alade urged the incoming Exco to collaborate with the management and Staff of the council in all their dealings.

Meanwhile, having resigned his position as the Chairman of Akure Branch of NULGE, Comrade Ilesanmi was sworn in as the State Welfare Officer by the President, Comrade Fredrick Akinrinlola.

Also, election was held for the incoming executives that will resume office in April.
