The 2026 Fizzy Lecture and Award Ceremony, an upcoming flagship event of D Chronicle Media Ventures, themed “Southwest Security Synergy: Amotekun’s Role in Regional Stability and Development,” will spotlight Hon. Bidemi Joshua Obayangban as the recipient of the Outstanding Man of the Year Award, an honour reserved for individuals whose leadership, service, and influence continue to shape society in meaningful ways.
Hon. Obayangban is widely regarded for his exceptional professional footprint across Oil and Gas, Marine Management, and Security Services. As Chief Executive Officer of multiple reputable organizations including Obayangban Nigeria Limited, Equinox Continental Services Limited, Seagate Bast Links Resources Limited, Vertical Strategic Security Services Limited, and Staryman Global Synergy Nigeria Limited, he has consistently demonstrated strategic vision, operational excellence, and the ability to drive institutional growth.
A well-travelled global citizen, his exposure across various continents has enhanced his understanding of international development trends and security frameworks.
These experiences continue to inform his pragmatic leadership style and his capacity to navigate complex organizational and societal challenges.
Beyond corporate success, Hon. Obayangban is deeply committed to humanitarian and community development efforts. His interventions include the drilling of nine boreholes in strategic locations across Ode-Aye and Okitipupa, improving access to clean water for residents. He has also remained consistent in supporting youth empowerment through educational support initiatives, provision of learning resources, and the promotion of sports and youth-centered programs.
Politically, Hon. Obayangban is a notable figure within the All Progressives Congress (APC) and has remained actively involved in Ondo State’s political space since 1999. He is guided by the belief that politics is a vehicle for social progress and human advancement. In his role as Aide to the Governor of Ondo State on Forestry Matters, he continues to contribute meaningfully to governance through insight, dedication, and service.

In recognition of his outstanding leadership, professional excellence, philanthropic impact, and contributions to security, governance, and community development, D Chronicle Media Ventures will present the Outstanding Man of the Year Award to Hon. Bidemi Joshua Obayangban at the 2026 Fizzy Lecture and Award Ceremony, scheduled to hold on February 22, 2026, at the OSDPC Event Hall, Ijapo Estate, Akure, by 2:00 p.m.
The ceremony is scheduled to feature Akogun Adetunji Adeleye, Commandant of the Amotekun Corps, Ondo State, as Guest Speaker; Hon. Dayo Awude, Former Commissioner for Sports and Youth Development, as Chairman; Hon. Otunba Timehin Adelegbe, MHR (Owo/Ose Federal Constituency) as Special Guest and His Excellency, Hon. (Dr) Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, Governor of Ondo State, as Special Guest of Honour.
This recognition celebrates a leader whose influence is driven by purpose, impact, and an enduring commitment to the greater good. In a press release personally signed by the CEO of D Chronicle Media, Mr. Olaseeni Oyesusi, he said this year’s edition of the program will witness unprecedented activities. He congratulated other celebrants which includes Hon (Mrs) Babafemi, Honourable Commissioner for Women Affairs and first female Head of Service, Ekiti State, Rev Dr. Bunmi Jenyo, Honourable Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Osun State, Hon Allen Sowore, Special Adviser to Ondo State Governor on Strategic Communication, Chief (Mrs) Mojisola Lawal, Proprietor of Greater Tomorrow Group of Schools, Ikare Akoko amongst others.
