Prof Aderinola is a highly educated professional with extensive experience in both academia and the engineering industry. He is a professor of Transportation Engineering at the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA), South West Nigeria with a background in Civil Engineering.
The Afin Akoko born Professor has served in various capacities, including teaching, research, and industry roles, holding fellowships and memberships in professional organizations.

He holds Ordinary National Diploma (OND) Civil Engineering at Federal Polytechnic Ado Ekiti (March, 1983), BSc. Civil Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife (April 1989), M.Eng. Transportation Federal University of Technology, Akure (May, 1999) and PhD, Transportation Engineering at Federal University of Technology Akure (2005-2014).
Academic Experience:
Prof Aderinola working trajectory cut across both the academic and industry where he seamlessly integrated his leadership acumen to drive innovative solutions in the education sector. His working experience in the university often progressing through various academic ranks from Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, Associate Professor, Professor. Prof Aderinola was an External Examiner for PhD students at University of Benin, Osun State University, Osogbo.
He also served as External Examiner for Master Students at the Osun State University, Osogbo, Kwara State University, Ilorin and External Moderator for 500 Level Students at the Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife (2024-Date). Prof Aderinola has actively conduct research, write and peer-reviewed journals and presenting work at conferences and seminars within and outside Nigeria. Research in progress are Assessment of a Mathematical Model for Road Failure Susceptibility Index; Economic Analysis of In-situ Stabilization of Unsuitable Materials with Terrasil Solution along a Road Section; Origin and Destination Study using Federal University of Technology Akure as a Cordon.
Research completed but not yet to published are Development of a Rational Procedure for Determining Factors Enhancing Road Pavement Failure of Owo-Ikare Road; Advancing Asphalt Pavement Performance Through Palm Kernel Shells Integration.
Manuscript submitted for publication are, Design and construction of intelligent Traffic Control System for Jattu Intersection Auchi, Nigeria; Evaluation of Coconut Fibre Ash and Corn Cob Ash as Mineral Filllers in Asphalt Mixture.
Prof Aderinola has four Book (Peer-reviewed), 44 Journal Articles, 5 published Conference Proceeding and monographs/Technical Reports and attended 13 conferences within and outside Nigeria.
Professional Affiliations:
Prof Aderinola is member of several committees within the university system and also belong to five professional organizations which includes Member, Nigerian Society of Engineers (MNSE), Member, Nigerian Institution of Civil Engineers (MNICE), Associate Member, American Society of Civil Engineers (AMASCE), Fellow, Institution of Industrial Administration of Nigeria (FILA) and Fellow, Institute of Supervision and Leadership (FISL).
Leadership Roles:
Prof Aderinola was appointed as one of the CVE Curriculum Reviewers at the Post Graduate level in PAUSTI, Head, Civil Engineering Department at OAUSTECH, Acting Dean, School of Engineering and Engineering Technology, Mega Campus, Okitipupa , Nigeria of OAUSTECH among other positions.

Mentorship and Supervision:
Prof Aderinola is playing a key role in training the next generation of engineers, having supervised 27 Post Graduate Master students (Major Supervision) and 4 PhD students (Major Supervision) and one minor supervision.
