Barr. Bolanle Olafunmiloye, High Chief Pius Akomolafe, Pastor Ogunmakinwa Ajibola, Others Bag Awards for Meaningful Contributions to Societal Development

It was a night of splendour and recognition in Akure, the Ondo State capital, as the Topshot Leadership Legacy Awards (TLLA) celebrated individuals who have made outstanding contributions to governance, civil society, and community development.

The event, held on Sunday, October 12, 2025, attracted dignitaries from various walks of life and had as one of its highlight an insightful lecture delivered by Mr. Adebanjo Adegbenro, Public Relations Officer of the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), on the theme “Politics Ends, Governance Begins: Redefining Leadership for Development”, who emphasized the need for ethical leadership, vision-driven governance, and citizen-centered development at all levels.

Among the awardees were Barr. Bolanle Olafunmiloye, Chairperson of FIDA, Ondo State, who received the Leadership Award for her relentless advocacy for justice and women’s rights; High Chief Pius Akomolafe, State Coordinator, Partners for Peace in the Niger Delta, who was honoured with the Exemplary Leadership Award for his dedication to peacebuilding and community development; and Pastor Ogunmakinwa Ajibola Adeola, Founder of the Ogunmakinwa Foundation, who bagged the Leadership Legacy Award for his tireless contributions to youth empowerment and social welfare.

Responding shortly to the honour, some of the awardees who spoke appreciated the gesture just as they affirmed it will spur them to continue to do more.

According to Topshot News Magazine, organizers of the event, the Leadership Legacy Award is aimed at celebrating integrity, excellence, and accountability — values essential for sustainable leadership and societal advancement.
