All is set for the 8th Anniversary and Sunshine State Achievers Award of the PATH NEWS MAGAZINE, scheduled for Sunday 27th September at OSPDC MULTI-PURPOSE Hall IJapo Estate Akure.
The program is expected to draw dignitaries from across the state and beyond to celebrate with the leading news magazine in Ondo State.
The Event is to be chaired and co-chaired by Dr Thomas Wilson Ikubese, the Chief Medical Director of the Sckye Hospital and Chief Akindele Omole, the Bobaselu of Odigbo Kingdom respectively.
Also, the Chief Launcher of the day is Otunba Benji Oloye, the Bashorun of Owo Kingdom while Hon Kolawole Babatunde, APC State Chairman, Dr Bayo Ilawole, Permanent Secretary Local Government Service Commission, Chief Rotimi Wemimo, OSAEC chairman, Comrade Bola Taiwo, NULGE President l, Alhaji Amidu Takuro, Commissioner for Local Government and chieftaincy Affairs are among special Guests expected at the occasion.
His Excellency, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, Governor of Ondo State is the Chief Host and Special Guest of Honour.
Part of the activities line up for the program includes public Lecture titled ” 2027:Poll: Godfathers, Money Politics And Electoral Violence In Nigeria: Effect on Free and Fair Elections” to be delivered by Pastor St Rufus Olalere.
Launching of the Pathcare Leadership Foundation, Unveiling of Special Brochure, Award presentation among others side attractions will form part of the activities celebrating PATH @ 8 and the 2026 Sunshine State Achievers Award.
Prominent Sons and daughters of Ondo State to receive awards includes Dr Akindele Ige, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Dr (Mrs) Marian Awotoye, Perms Secretary, Local Government Staff Loans Board, Prof Odimayo Simidele, Special Adviser to Ondo State Governor on Health, D/G and CEO of Ondo State Electricity Regulatory Commission, Engr Bolawole Stephen Olugbenga, Engr Adedokun Adeyemi Adeyonu, Chairman NIEEE, Princess Omowunmi Olatunji-Ohwovoriole, APC House of Representatives Candidate among others.
