AWARD: Double Honour For Omolojas’ @ Chronicle 11th Anniversary

The multiple award winning HOLGA, Mrs Dupe Aminat Omoloja has again bagged another award, Ose Firewall in Human Development from the Chronicle Magazine alongside her darling husband in recognition of their commitment to the development of Ose Local Government and humanity.

The honour was bestowed on the family as part of the activities to celebrate the 11th anniversary of the Chronicle News Magazine, held at the OSDPC Multipurpose Hall, Ijapo Estate, Akure.

In his welcome address, the Publisher of the Chronicle Magazine, Mr. Olaseeni Oyesusi said the 11th anniversary was dedicated to celebrating the sons and daughters of Ose Local Government Area of Ondo State who have contributed immensely to the development of the local government.

He noted that the award recipients were carefully selected among thousands of indigenes of the local government by popular votes from the people of the local government who voted based on the awardees respective contributions either as a public or private individuals.

The Guest Speaker and Former Chairman of Ose Local Government, Hon Ilepe Johnson speaks on the theme: “Civil Engagement and Good Governance to Unleash Local Potentials in Ose: The Role of Stakeholders,”.

Hon. Ilepe emphasized the need for stakeholders’ involvement in local governance to reduce inequality and poverty adding that civil engagement is the panacea for good governance to rescue Nigeria from its current state of quagmire and comatose.

The Royal Father of the Day, Olumoru of Imoru, HRM Oba Oluwarotimi Obamuwagun, said the government cannot combat insecurity alone but requires the collaboration of all and sundry, as he highlighted some measures he had put in place to strengthen the Amotekun officers in his territory.

While presenting the award to Mrs Omoloja, Olumoru commended the giant strides of the Omolojas both in the economic and social-political development of Ose Local Government, saying the family has written their name in gold as far as development of Ose is concern.

Chatting with the PATH Correspondent, Mrs Omoloja who is the Head of Local Government Administration (HOLGA) in Akure South Local Government thanked the publisher of the magazine for beaming his search light into the activities and contributions of the Omolojas’ in Ose Local Government and Ondo State at large.

She further added that her unequaled contributions to the development of Akure South Local Government as HOLGA formed part of the reasons Chronicle Magazine honoured her with the prestigious award.

Mrs Omoloja promised to continue to protect the good name of Omoloja in whatever capacity she find herself saying high level of integrity, honesty and accountability will continue to be her watchword.

Other Personalities honoured are Hon Olawande Wisdom, Senator Jide Ipinsagba, Akogun Tokunbo Modupe (TPT), Mr Dotun Eni Olotu, Hon Dayo Mabogunje, Mr Thompson Ayegunle, Mary Agidi, Hon Emmanuel Oshatti among others.
