2024: Bola Taiwo Hails NULGE Endorsement, Commends Aiyedatiwa’s Welfare Package For Civil Servants

The Former NULGE President and the Special Adviser to the Governor on Union Matters, Bola Taiwo has praised the Governor for his selfless sacrifices towards the welfare of civil and public servants in the State.
Speaking with the PATH at the 2024 NULGE DAY celebration at the The DOME where Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa was unanimously endorsed by the Local Government Workers for continuity, the Former NULGE Boss said Governor Aiyedatiwa is one of the good things to have happened to the labour and workforce in Ondo State.
He commended the recent approval of the #73,000 Minimum Wage for the workers in the state, adding that the Workers Friendly governor is ready to to prioritize the welfare of workers in the state.
The Special Adviser hailed the bold steps taken by the leadership of NULGE in Ondo State for agreeing to work for the victory of the governor in the November 16 Governorship Election saying for more dividends of good governance, people of Ondo State must vote for Governor Aiyedatiwa for continuity.
In his welcome address, President of NULGE in Ondo State, Fredrick Akinrinlola, expressed deep appreciation to Governor Aiyedatiwa for consistently addressing the concerns of the union and prioritizing the welfare of its members.
“We have witnessed remarkable growth and progress under your leadership, you have always shown a genuine commitment to our issues, and this is why we, as a union, have unanimously decided to endorse you as our preferred candidate for the November 16 gubernatorial election”, he said.
Akinrinlola emphasized that the union’s decision to back Governor Aiyedatiwa stems from his track record of improving their working conditions and ensuring that their voices are heard.
Thanking the union for the endorsement and award, the Governor Aiyedatiwa made a firm commitment to the welfare of workers in the State, reassuring on his readiness to pay the N73, 000 new minimum wage recently approved by him.
“I understand that you all didn’t come out today just to make a show of numbers. You are here to express your solidarity with me, and I am deeply appreciative of that,” the Governor remarked, acknowledging the union’s backing.
Governor Aiyedatiwa also announced the approval of leave bonuses for mainstream civil servants in the State, pledging to redouble his efforts when elected.
