A Chieftain of the People Democratic Party and former Chairman of Ose Local Government, Hon Agboola Ajike has described the ruling All Progressive Congress in the state as a party of deceit that should be voted out in the forthcoming governorship election in Ondo State.
The Ex Local Government Boss made the statement at the flag off of the Governorship Campaign of the People’s Democratic Party held in Akure.
Speaking with the PATH, Ajike said he left APC to PDP because his conscience can’t allow him to stay in a party that prioritize deceit and propaganda above good governance.
He added that, he was made to believe APC is a progressive party saying rather than being progressive, it is a party of retrogression.
His words: “From AC to ACN to APC, we were made to believe that they are progressive party and along the lines, I observed that there’s no element of progressive in them but retrogression with nothing to offer to the public. My conscience can’t allow me to stay in that party and I have to move to the PDP with better ideology and program for the people”.
Ajike described the People’s Democratic Party as a better manager of people and resources saying since APC came to power, it has always been blame game, hardship, economy woes, insecurity and maladministration both at the federal and state levels.
He made a passionate appeal to the intelligent people of Ondo State to vote APC led government out of office, saying PDP and its candidate is the only alternative of bringing good governance to the door steps of the people of the state.
Ajike urged the PDP party faithful to see November 16 Governorship Election as opportunity to free the state from hardship and poverty, believing with unity and cooperation, APC is a forgotten issue in Ondo State.
